AYURVEDA FOR HEALTHY HAIR

Hi friends,
Hair is indivisible part of personality. It adds beaty to us. Not only that ,hair represents overall health and nutrition. But nowdays, there are many facors which affecting normal hair health. Pollution, exposure to various chemicals in soap, shampoo, conditioners, dye, hair color, gel,  hair setting cream, spray etc, junk food, unheathy eating habits and disturbed lifestyle are main culprits.
Dandruff, split end, dull hair, hair fall, early greying, slow growth and hair loss are main problems.
Here are some tips to improve health of hair
1.Diet
As i told before, healthy hair represents healthy body n viceversa, unhealthy hairs indicate imbalance of dosha, and poor nutrition sp. Rasa and Asthi
First of all correct your digestion,so nutrients get absorbed . Correct digestion related problem with help of ayurveda.
Then eat healthy , homemade, traditional and fresh food.
Add ghee , homemade butter, milk in diet. Use proper amount of oil while cooking. Use nuts and seeds in diet.
Add bitter veggies .
Avoid sour and salty food items, coldrinks, junk foods, chips, farsan, soda, dry food, preserved and canned food,
Pickles, vinegar, chinese sauses,
For improving hair texture , one should eat dates, apricots, coconut, seasame,  almond, ghee, dry grapes regularly (according to season).
2. Sleep - adequate n regular sleep help to balance vata and pitta which are important for hair.
3. Daily hair care -apply coconut in summer or sesame oil in winter or  ayurvedic hair oil acc. Season. Use warm oil for massaging scalp. Daily application of oil to head nourishes hair plus beneficial for brain. It keeps scalp healthy , prevent dandruff and hairfall. Avoid hot shower for hair.
Daily putting 2 drops of anutaila definitely keep away all hair problems.
Avoid direct exposure of hair to heat or cold.
Avoid use of chemicals like shampoo etc, instead use herbal mixture of shikekai , reetha, amla, licorice for hair wash. Color and conditioning purpose use henna mixture. Many herbal pastes gives that effects.
4. Panchakarma - medicated enemas { specially panchtiktak ksheer basti}, shirodhara, nasya are useful for promoting and curing .
5. Stress- avoid stress, stress causes hair fall and loss too.
Take help of yoga to manage stress.
6.Medicines - rejuvenating medicines like Rasayan choorna, bringaraj etc should be consume by consulting vaidya

CHYVANPRASH

 In last blog , we went through Amla. Today we are going to discuss a precious combination made from it - Chyavanprash .Yes, we all are aware of it's immunobooster property. But it is really much more than it.
Chyavanprash is mixture of rejuvenating, cleansing ,detoxifying and immuno modulatory herbs.It was invented by Rishi Chyavan as a source for youth.
Yes for youth!Charaksamhita states, if one consume this medicine as a rasayana by follwing necessary rules and regulations , old one becomes younger. It corrects metabolism, increases digestive capacity, corrects complexion, good Aphrodite, reorient senses and increases memory .
It is best Rasayana i.e, rejuvenating  medicine. It retard degeneration of body and promotes regeneration.
For maintaing health and acquiring all those benefits, one should consume it in such quantity that is not gonna hamper hunger time, in simple words according to digestive capacity. It may differ due to many variants age, country , digestive capacity , prakriti etc.For this one should take guidance of vaidya.Nothing should be consume with /after it till one get hungry. Persons will low digestive capacity or digestive disorders should avoid it.Otherwise it will create aama.During this period one must avoid salty, sour, alkaline, fried food and processed and canned food.
As we all know it is also used as preventive and treatment purpose.It is good for patients of respiratory infections, poor stamina, early aging, heart diseases and semen abnormality. It is helpful for growing age.
Though there are many flavoured or modified forms of chyavanprash available, one should buy it from authentic source to avoid adulteration.Otherwise you will not get benefits but face other health issue. And qualities of chyavanprash can be acquired by consuming only classical ayurvedic chyavanprash under guidance.

Season of love , health and respiratory infections.
How can we prevent this respiratory health problems?
Yesterday while roaming in market i got the answer, i saw fresh green amlas. By sight , i remembered a lot about it. I used to eat amla when i was child. It has sour astrigent taste , which lures towards it.While learning Ayurveda, i got aware of it's medicinal properties specially immunity boosting one.
Ayurveda describes Amla as best Rasayana .what is rasayana? Rasayana means the substance having property to nourish all bodily tissues, improve their processes and functions. Amla do it.
Everyone should consume Amla,it increases vitality, energy levels and stamina. It gives longevity by nourishing all tissues. It retards degeneration. So Charaka compared it with nectar.It removes waste from tissues, open channels for nutrition causing increased vitality. It has best Pitta allevating property, so useful in pitta disorders. It improves function of nervous tissues, so memory n keep senses intact. It is best medicine for Diabetes Mellitis. It also improves skin complexion and hair growth.
For daily use, one can consume fresh Amla, powder,jam,sharbat, supari etc. BUT NEVER GO FOR ANY PROCESSED AMLA PRODUCTS WHICH CONTAINS or INVOLVES CHEMICALS,PACKED JUICE OF AMLA. It changes properties of Amla and ofcourse low or no potency.
When one want to consume Amla as a Rasayana , should take guidance of Vaidya.
